Healthy Dog Treats Keep Your Dog Happy

The major health concern with dogs is obesity. Obesity in dogs can lead can lead to very serious health issues. Usually pets are fortunate to stay slim but there are some who can get fat with little effort and the problem can worsen when they get diseases related to weight.

Your dog relies completely on you to keep him in good health, and you can do so by giving him a healthy dog treat.  Healthy dog treats are easily available.  There’s a large selection of dog treats to choose from.  Be careful while choosing the dog treat as many may be just unhealthy for your dog.

Homemade Healthy Treats

You can also provide your dog with some homemade healthy treats.  Have you ever seen your dog eating grass?  Then there is a vegetarian side to your dog.  You can try offering your dog some cooked green beans, carrots or peas.  You can even mix them into their regular diet.

Canned Food or Dry Food?

People who cannot prepare treats for their dogs at home rely on commercially manufactured dog food.  And these foods come in dry form or a wet canned form.  Usually people often prefer dry food for reasons of convenience as can also be left out for the dog to eat at will over the course of several days.  But canned food has a longer shelf life and contains more protein and fat.
